Flowmeter Calibration and Verification

Expert support for open channel and closed pipe meters

Regular calibration / verification of your open channel or closed pipe flowmeters is vital for maintaining data integrity and avoiding costly errors especially for MCERTS-certified installations.

Whether you’re operating a wastewater treatment site, industrial discharge point, or any other flow-critical system, we provide precise, standards-based calibration services backed by decades of experience.

Open channel flow

All open channel flowmeters require regular calibration to maintain flow measurement accuracy.

To calibrate open channel flowmeters, our specialists:

This ensures your open channel system delivers reliable measurements that reflect real-world conditions.  Every calibration includes a full service report and a certificate of calibration.

Closed pipe Flowmeter verification

We carry out on-site verifications of closed pipe flowmeters in their working environment.  In a flow measurement system, the pipe arrangement, size, and condition can have a major impact on the accuracy of the flowmeter.

Our surveys assess the performance of the complete flow measurement system, not just the instrument.  This allows us to determine the true level of uncertainty under actual operating conditions.

Electromagnetic flowmeters

Most electromagnetic flowmeters are electronically stable and don’t require regular off-site re-calibration.  Their performance is much more likely to be affected by on-site factors, such as poor installation or unfavourable flow conditions.

That’s why our engineers use specialist equipment and techniques to evaluate whether your flowmeter is delivering reliable, audit-ready data.  Through our in-situ verification process, we identify any hidden issues and provide practical recommendations to restore confidence in your measurements.

This secondary verification process can also be used to validate other closed pipe flow measurement systems, including clamp-on ultrasonic, helical vane, and differential-pressure flowmeters.

Ongoing compliance

If your site includes an MCERTS-certified flowmeter, it must be calibrated or verified between five-year MCERTS inspections.

This is a requirement of the MCERTS standard.

Our service reports provide the documentation and traceability you need for your QMS and audits.

All of our calibration/verification surveys are conducted to the MCERTS standard or better.
